Content policy

Standards for what gets published here, and how we disagree. Working draft — the full policy is ratified with the community launch.

Authority labeling

Every piece of content on this site is labeled by who is speaking. Official Articles and SIG Official Announcements carry the SIG’s voice; Member Articles and Discussions are the authors’ own views. Removing, imitating, or misrepresenting these labels is a policy violation.

Discussion standards

  • Argue in good faith; steelman the position you oppose before criticizing it.
  • Cite what you borrow. Quote accurately and link sources where possible.
  • Vigorous disagreement is welcome; personal attack, harassment, and abuse are not.
  • Stay on topic within a thread; start a new thread for a new question.

Moderation

Moderators may hide content, lock threads, or mark posts as under review. Members can report articles, threads, and comments. Moderation actions are logged and reviewable, and content is hidden rather than silently deleted wherever possible.
